People up to around 85 kg who prefer a softer feel benefit from the option to select the soft firmness level without feeling the base beneath. With optional foldable edges, Velcro straps on the underside, or a zipper connection, the Original mattress is perfectly suited for mobile use in the VW T5. For a long lifespan, we additionally recommend using a fitted sheet or a mattress protector.

With the Vanmade® Original Mattress, the 10 cm height gives you more flexibility in choosing the firmness level. People up to around 85 kg who prefer a softer feel can choose firmness level H2 without the mattress losing stability or feeling the base underneath. This creates a pleasantly relieving lying experience that clearly separates you from the vehicle floor. The seat & sleeping cushion provides a more compact, medium-firm sitting and lying experience, offering steady support both day and night. The general rule applies – the higher the cushion, the firmer the lying feel. For the cushion, we recommend a minimum height of 8 cm for optimal comfort.

If your focus is purely on sleeping, we recommend the Vanmade® Original Mattress. If you prefer something more colourful and would also like to sit on the surface, we recommend our cushions. A cushion is always slightly harder than a mattress of the same height and firmness.

Mattresses are designed for optimal sleep. Upholstery is designed for optimal sitting. Of course, you can also sit on the mattress or sleep on the upholstery, but the focus is clear. Our mattresses have a thin knitted cover around the foam core, as well as a flexible and soft mattress cover. The cushions are made with a padded foam core and a robust cushion cover. A cushion is always slightly firmer than a mattress of the same height and hardness.

Configure your desired product with the desired number of folds conveniently in our online configurator. You can then specify your individual requirements in the free text field – we will then coordinate with you for the final solution.

The Vanmade® Original mattress can be ordered in separate parts, with a folding function or zip connections, as well as with Velcro strips on the underside. Our cushions can also be designed to be foldable and with Velcro strips on the underside. Alternatively, there is the option of attaching anti-slip strips to the underside – we can cater to all your needs.
