Right of Withdrawal

Custom-Made Products

Under Section 312g(2), point 1 of the German Civil Code (BGB), there is no statutory right of withdrawal for contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and whose manufacture is determined by Your individual choices or specifications, or that are clearly personalised.
This applies in particular to mattresses, toppers, cushions, foam cut to size, covers and fitted sheets manufactured individually to Your measurements.
This statutory exclusion applies regardless of whether production has already started.

Our Voluntary Service: Cancel Free of Charge Within 48 Hours

Even for custom-made products, You can cancel Your order free of charge and without giving any reason within 48 hours of the conclusion of the purchase contract.
Please inform us of Your decision to cancel by means of a clear statement, for example by email to support@vanmade.de. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient to send Your cancellation statement before the 48-hour period expires.
We will refund any payments already made for the cancelled order, including the associated delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving Your cancellation statement. We will use the same payment method that You used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with You. We will not charge any fees for the refund.
This voluntary cancellation service does not affect Your statutory rights, particularly Your rights in the event of defective goods.

Our Voluntary 33-Day Sleep Trial

For custom-made mattresses and topper without a folding function and delivered to an address in Germany, we also offer our voluntary 33-day sleep trial.
You can try the mattress at home and inform us within 33 days of receiving it that You would like to return it, without giving any reason. Simply send an email to support@vanmade.de. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send Your statement before the 33-day period expires.
We will organise and cover the cost of the return shipment or collection. Please coordinate the return with us, package the mattress securely for transport and make it available for the agreed collection. The original packaging is not required.
Within 14 days of receiving the returned mattress, we will refund its purchase price, including any standard delivery costs charged for that mattress, using the original payment method, unless expressly agreed otherwise with You.
Normal use during the sleep trial will not result in any deduction from Your refund.
The sleep trial does not apply to folding mattresses, folding toppers, cushions, foam cut to size, separately ordered covers, fitted sheets or other accessories.
Your statutory rights, including any applicable right of withdrawal and Your rights in the event of defective goods, remain unaffected.

Withdrawal Instructions for Standard Products

The following withdrawal instructions apply to consumers purchasing standard products that are not covered by the exclusion for custom-made products described above.

Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire fourteen days after the day on which You, or a third party designated by You other than the carrier, acquire physical possession of the last item of goods.

of Your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement, for example a letter sent by post or an email. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but this is not mandatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send Your communication concerning the exercise of Your right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period expires.

Effects of Withdrawal

If You withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from You, including delivery costs, without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after the day on which we are informed of Your decision to withdraw from this contract. This excludes any supplementary costs resulting from Your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us.
We will make the reimbursement using the same payment method that You used for the original transaction, unless You have expressly agreed otherwise. In any event, You will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or You have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is earlier.

You must send back or hand over the goods to us without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days after the day on which You communicate Your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if You send back the goods before the fourteen-day period expires.
We will bear the cost of returning the goods.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
