For the Vanmade Original mattress we offer the hardness levels H2, H3 and H4 in our configurator.

However, the degree of hardness cannot be determined exactly as it depends very much on your choice of mattress thickness. In addition, every person feels differently.

But:
Our special HR cold foam always offers you the best comfort and the hardness levels are a good guideline in the range of 8 cm to 12 cm.

Our recommendation:
We recommend you choose between 8 cm and 12 cm. This means you have great lying properties and your Vanmade Original mattress remains handy. For smaller heights, it is better to choose a higher degree of hardness to avoid sagging. However, here too, a lot depends on your bed construction.
Example: A 4 cm pop-up roof mattress should be selected with a base plate in H4, with a plate spring system the hardness level H3 can also be selected.

Please note that hardness H4 is only suitable for the thinnest version in 4 cm.

We offer two zipper colors.

Vanmade Bleen or classic gray
If you like accents, the Vanmade Bleen zipper is the right choice. If you prefer it simple, choose the gray zipper.

The core of the Vanmade Original mattress consists of an open-pored and therefore breathable HR cold foam. This has a density of RG 40 kg/m3 and compression strengths of 30 kPa, 40 kPa and 50 kPa. It is said here that the thinner the mattress, the softer it becomes. On the contrary, it appears harder but also more stable.

The top side and therefore the side that can be slept on consists of a double cloth. This was designed specifically for our applications by our partners from the mattress industry. It is also water-repellent and dirt-resistant.

The underside of the Vanmade Original mattress is made of CORDURA®️ 560dtex fabric. This is known for its high-strength structure and can withstand pretty much anything. Perfect as a base for outdoors.

Our Cordura®️ is equipped with an FC-free impregnation.

The zipper is attached by our sewing department to all possible and sensible edges. For example, if you order your Vanmade Original mattress with a cutout in one corner, our professional seamstress team will decide on the best possible route.

Folding mattresses do not have a zipper on the sides of the folding points. Here the robust Cordura® lining is sewn up to the top edge for reinforcement.

Did you know? The connections between 2 elements in folding mattresses are sewn with a reinforcement band made of high-strength Cordura® fabric.

Folding direction
You can use the directional arrow determine the direction of the folds.

What does top/bottom fold seam mean?
If the fold seam line appears solid, it means the mattress can be folded inwards. The two elements of the folding mattresses are sewn together at the top.
As soon as a second folded edge is added, this is automatically sewn at the bottom so that the folding mattress can be stacked on top of each other like a "Z".
If you also order a third folded edge, this will be sewn at the bottom again.

Of course, you can also arrange your folded edges as you wish. Just talk to us.

Reinforcement Strap
In order to connect the mattress elements optimally and for a long time, the Cordura® base material is sewn in as a reinforcing band. Nothing can happen with this.

You have 2 options to configure the Velcro straps.

Velcro on the underside
Velcro straps can be configured from below using the configurator. At least 2 Velcro strips are sewn here so that you can fix your element in your camper. The Velcro strap is 48 mm wide and is attached 3cm to the edge. About the directional arrow you can rotate the arrangement.
The other side, the counterpart of the Velcro strap, will of course be given to you. This is how you can glue/attach the negative side to your vehicle. Here we recommend the combination of gluing and stapling, for example. An adhesive strip is already attached to the Velcro strap.

Velcro on the sides
Velcro straps on the sides to connect two parts are also no problem. It is best to use the Drawing template and draw it in for us.< br> For mattresses less than 10 cm thick, a 30 mm wide Velcro strap is sewn, from 10 cm thick a 48 mm wide Velcro strap is sewn.

All of our Vanmade mattresses are produced in Germany. With appropriate industrial machines and well-rehearsed production teams, we can produce all Vanmades to measure and with great care. We source all of our materials from Europe.

Premium Topper:
Our Vanmade Premium Topper is perfect if your existing mattress is missing that extra something you need. A topper not only protects your mattress, but also improves your sleeping experience. In addition, your Vanmade Premium Topper covers any gaps and is therefore perfect in combination with the Vanmade mattress landscape.

Mattresses Landscape:
Developed specifically for your camper, the Vanmade mattress landscape can be ordered in many parts, allowing you to make optimal use of the space in your motorhome/camper. Whether lying on your lifting table or variable on your access flap. The Vanmade landscape mattress adapts to your bed in the motorhome. Despite everything, the special checkerboard pattern offers you a wonderful sleeping experience, so nothing stands in the way of your vacation.

7-zone-mattress:
Do you have a fixed bed or a relatively static bed? And your measurements are about the same as a standard size? Then the 7-zone mattress is just right. Simply configured, the Vanmade 7-zone-mattress optimally supports your body, developed by experts.

Premium mattress:
Do you have a little more space in your motorhome and would you like it to be more luxurious? Then the 7-zone-mattress is just right. The Vanmade Premium mattress is extravagant, exactly how your sleep should be when traveling. Don't differentiate between your house on wheels and your home. With the built-in premium topper in your 7-zone mattress you are doing everything right.

Our covers from the Vanmade White series are mainly made of polyester and are therefore perfectly suited to mobile sleeping. Breathable, quick-drying and robust. Thanks to the viscose and cashmere content, your cover feels velvety soft.

Tips for washing
All of our covers are removable and therefore washable. We recommend washing at 30°C. We do not recommend using a dryer or ironing.

We use 2 different foams for our Vanmade White series. A gel foam for the premium topper and a hybrid high resilience foam, which combines the best properties of a PU foam (polyurethane, your mattress at home) and those of HR cold foam. This means your Vanmade White mattress is extremely durable and breathable.

High density means dimensional stability and longevity.

With the anti-slip bottom you prevent your mattress from slipping on smooth surfaces, such as wood.
If you select this feature in your configuration, the underside of your mattress fabric will be replaced with a white anti-slip fabric during the production process.

The anti-slip feature is expected to be available in 2025.

Couplings, folded corners, radii and cutouts are made by our production team according to a specific scheme and tailored individually for you.
The foam core is cut using state-of-the-art hand machines and precise NC and CNC machines. The cover materials are made with the finest handwork by our seamstresses and later married to the core.

All of our Vanmade White mattresses are made in Germany and go through quality tests. We also source all of our materials from the EU and want to set an example that regionality is also possible for mattresses.

We have selected a specially robust and light-resistant fabric for you. This means that it is perfectly tailored to mobile requirements and you don't have to worry. In contrast to the Vanmade White series and the Vagabond, the Vanmade Upholstery Oase series is primarily suitable for sitting. Nevertheless, seat cushions with a height of 8cm and a medium level of hardness also offer a good sleeping function.

Tips for washing:
The covers of the Vanmade upholstery oasis can be easily removed and washed at 60°C. Ironing is possible, we do not recommend the dryer.

We offer you 3 different degrees of hardness for your needs in your camper:
H2 - soft
If you like to sit softly and would also like to use your Vanmade upholstery oasis for sleeping. Choose a higher strength here so that you don't sit or lie down. +10 cm is recommended. Remember that when you sit, your entire body weight is placed on a relatively small area. When you sleep, it spreads out much better.
H3 - medium
The golden mean for areas where you want to sit and lie comfortably. At a low thickness this can also appear significantly softer, so we recommend the medium-firm core in the thicknesses 6 cm - 10 cm.
H4 - hard
The hard Vanmade upholstery Oasen core is almost exclusively suitable for sitting. Here, padding thicknesses of 4 cm to 10 cm are sufficient for comfortable and healthy sitting. The hard core will not affect your sitting posture, but it is a good basis.

Please note that a special request may take a little longer during the peak season. Plan some time here.

Stripes with an anti-slip material are sewn onto the underside of your Oasis cushion. This prevents your cushion from slipping, even if your journey gets bumpy.

The zipper is sewn on the longest side by our seamstresses, so you can easily remove and wash your covers. If necessary. In addition, the zipper is sewn with the seams hidden, which means it fades into the background.

No. Our configurator generates a drawing for you and our production with all dimensions, break points and selected features. However, we recommend that you make a sketch beforehand and measure it precisely for your own understanding.

The price is calculated from the material costs (fabric, foam, zipper), the individual labor costs depending on the effort required for your Vanmade mattress, a marketing share and last but not least the work of our Vanmade team.
Shipping costs are passed on 1 to 1 and we do not make any profit from it.

Yes. In the configurator you will find the "Foldable" button and can choose between 1 to 3 folding points. You can also determine the folding direction. Please pay attention to the top/bottom arrangement of the folding points over the F-lines (dotted or non-dashed).< /p>

Reinforcement band:
To guarantee the longevity of the Vanmade mattresses and upholstery, we sew in a reinforcement band.

Yes. If you are unable to cope with your drawing, our team can create a drawing based on any sketch. This is done in close consultation with you and with detailed advice.

We ship throughout Europe and our delivery times are
approx. 4-6 weeks (Vanmade Original)
and
approx. 2-3 weeks (White Mattresses & Upholstery Oasis).
Please order your Vanmade in good time before your vacation, as our production utilization is highest from March to August.
There are also a few public holidays and bridge days in the early spring on which no production takes place. Please plan a little more time here.
Our shipping costs are € 9.99 across Germany and € 29.99 across Europe, depending on the number of parts you order.

We also ship to non-EU countries, such as Switzerland (DAP duty unpaid). You buy from us tax-free and then pay your import duties to the relevant office.

Since we produce each Vanmade individually, they are excluded from the right of return.

Our production produces each Vanmade mattress carefully and with high accuracy. Of course, mistakes happen to us too. Just contact us and we'll sort it out.

Please take photos of the shipment and the damage BEFORE you unpack it and check whether the Vanmade is intact despite the packaging damage. If there is any damage, contact us and we will take care of it.
